Downy woodpeckers in the forest

This is my acrylic painting of some cute little downy woodpeckers in a tree of the forest. Often described as acrobats, these kinds of woodpeckers can comfortably hang upside down to eat insects off a tree. The downy woodpecker is the smallest species of woodpecker in North America. I was inspired to paint these cute woodpeckers after seeing them active at my bird feeders. The males have red feathers on the back of their heads.
