A peacock fanning out his feathers

This is my acrylic painting of a peacock fanning out his feathers. They fan out their tail feathers to tempt pea hens and shake them in a behavior called train rattling. The Indian peafowl is also known as the common peafowl and blue peafowl. Male peafowl are called peacocks, and females are called pea fowl or peahens. Peacocks are the national bird of India.
