A bobwhite quail whistling a call

This is my mixed media (watercolor and acrylic) painting of a northern bobwhite quail whistling a call across the field. These birds are known for their recognizable “bob-white” or “bob-bob-white” call they make. It is also known as the Virginia quail.  This painting was a winning selection as the “Northern bobwhite” in the special Fan Art Pack of bird cards as part of the 2023 Wingspan Fan Art Challenge.
