Rock cairns at the lake
This is my mixed media painting with watercolor and acrylics of three rock cairns at a lake. In prehistory, they were used as markers, memorials and as burial monuments. In the modern era, they are raised as landmarks, trail markers or to mark the summit of mountains. Cairns represent peace, calm, meditation, center and grounding.
