He Is Risen
I painted this landscape with three crosses and a powerful sunset at Golgotha. Golgotha, was, according to the Gospels, a site immediately outside Jerusalem's walls where Jesus was crucified. Matthew's and Mark's gospels translate the term to mean "place of [the] skull". About a stone's throw away from there is a vault wherein his body was laid, and rose again on the third day. He is Risen!
Acts 4:33 With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all.
