Stonehenge Shadows

This is my painting of the famous Stonehenge landmark that was painted with acrylic paint.  It also includes watercolor with salt added for special effects on the stones.   On the summer solstice at Stonehenge when the sky is clear, the sun rises behind the Heel stone, the ancient entrance to the circle, and rays of sunlight are channeled into the center of the monument. It is believed solstices have been celebrated at Stonehenge for thousands of years.
