Lady Justice
This is my painting of Lady Justice. Almost all the high courts in the world feature a sculpture of Lady Justice. The modern concept of Lady Justice is most similar to the Roman goddess Justitia. She is depicted with the sword for a swift and final decision. The scales show she balances the act and consequences to achieve equilibrium, therefore, justice. She is blindfolded because justice is unbiased. Lady Justice is commonly the symbol for the zodiac sign, Libra.
