Dance of the Dragonflies

This is my acrylic painting of some dragonflies dancing in the wind. I used a pearlescent paint for the shimmering highlights on the dragonflies. Dragonflies have been the subject of myths and tales throughout history. I was inspired to paint these dragonflies as I see them flying and hoovering around my yard often with a nearby pond.
